Banda, Dr. Brajesh Kumar Gupta, the resident of Sahab Talab near Sadampuri Jail Road, (originally dweller of village Amalor) and the head of the Department of English in Eklavya Degree College, Banda, honored by district magistrate of Banda for attending and honoring in the India World Poetry Festival – 2017 organized in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, India. In this program, about 100 poets from India got the opportunity to represent and you are one of among them. Famous poets from all over the world (mainly India, Greece, Philippines, Egypt, Canada, Bhutan, South Africa, Taiwan, UK, Italy, Nepal, Cyprus etc.) participated in this great program. This event was organized by Srujanalokam-Writer’s Corner, Dr. Lanka Shiva Ram Prasad and the world famous poetry organization of the Philippines “Pentasi B” and Dr. Pen Pen Bugtong Tekipslim. His poem in the show ‘Eclipse of love’ After reading his poem, Taiwan’s famous poet Fang Yav, Chien, Orissa’s multilingual poetess Swapna Behera, Raula Paulard of Greece, Padmaja Iyengar Paddi and Dr. L. S. R. Prasad of Andhra Pradesh honored Dr. Brajesh with Shawl, Certificate, T-shirt and Gold Medal. He has dedicated this honor to his family and the people of the district. On this honor of Dr. Brajesh, his parents, Shri Mewalal Gupta and Smt. Devrati Gupta, his wife Varsha Gupta “Samprabha” (Hindi Poetess), son Pratham Dev Gupta and along with Dr. Pramod Mai Sairaha, Dr. Pooran Prakash Purvar, Principal of Eklavya Degree College, Principal Dr. Sirajul Hassan and all the staff of college including Arun Nigam, Sanjay Nigam and the respected persons of the district expressed their happiness and congratulated him. Dr. Gupta is constantly writing poems, short stories, essays, novels etc. and winning many awards too. He also runs a group called “Contemporary Literary Society of Amlor: Banda (U.P.-India)” for budding poets and writers on Facebook. His English poetry book “The Rain” has already been published. District magistrate of Banda has applauded English poet of Banda Dr. Brajesh. He has given him his poetry book titled “The Rain”.
